Coffee coloured oil?

Did an oil change today, it came out coffee couloured and very thin. No coolant leak to be found, no foaming or frothing of the oil. Wondering what would cause this?

Gas in the oil maybe, condensation inside the block while sitting over the winter?

You remember what weight oil you put in before? Have you run the car at all this year?

You could be getting gas mixed into the motor. Have you done a compression test and leak test yet?

Water is pretty obvious. Usuallly the oil will get cream colored. How old is the mechanical fuel pump? Is the gas leaking through the diaphram?

Was thinking either the fuel pump leaking or a combination of a carb and intake gasket leak. No idea how old the fuel pump is, at least 10 years, also she is hard to start when hot.

In the winter I use a propane heater which puts out alot of moisture and had a rad hose break over the winter as well, so I'm hoping it's condensattion. I'll be changing the oil again this weekend, after I run her for a while and take her out on the road. Should be interesting to see what the oil looks like then!

I would think if it were gas in the oil, you would smell it. Let us know how the next oil change goes.

Hi guys, sorry for the late update, ran the engine for a few weeks put 100km on it keeping an eye on the oil. Did a change on the weekend, oil is fine, looks new. Must have been some condensation from winter storage.
