hehe. I laughed on that reply for a good while. In the army our older model HMWWV's did the same thing until it warmed up enough. The mechanics said it was just "how it is".

you need to read the "tech" articles at this site. www.madelectrical.com
It will be very enlightening.{pun intended}. (read the one about the dodge pickups particularly),

Cool article about by-passing the AMP gauge.
I may try it when I get my car back from the body shop.

I'm a big fan of that! There is no need to run current through an ammeter to get a reading. I think that I read an instrument company can change it to a voltmeter and silkscreen the gauge to say "volts", matching the other gauges.

you could also up-grade to relays for the headlites....did that to my car and man what a difference.....very simple deal to....your headlites will have 14 volts at all times and all your switch does is turn them on and off....you dont have all the current running to the switch and back to the headlites....read about it... www.madelectrical.com

okay...you read this....http://www.madelectrical.com/electri....shtml....then read thishttp://www.moparts.org/Tech/Archive/elec/10.html....i went by this diagram with these relays and followed this.....takes about a 1/2 hours..bought relays at NAPPA....bosch relays...i put the relays next to the radiator ...driverside and tapped into the headlite harness....ran wires from altenator but you can also come off the battery.....very simple and when you are done you will be amazed with how brite your headlites will be.....do it......good luck

Did you replace your voltage regulater? or check the out put of your alternater? they'll do all what you said. Also you could just have a bad ground (god forbid with mopars). are you running a BOOM BOX?

Tuff Stuff 100 Amp, one wire, internally regulated Alternator will solve all the issues and still be a Mopar.
