Day at the Track 11/15

Went to the track yesterday with the GTX, and had some trouble with it.
Left the line at 1500 rpm.
The car still isn't where it needs to be. We actually were slower than the last time we went, when we had the distributor problems.
Here is the best timeslip:
R/T: .056 (Had a better time in an earlier run)
60': 2.560 (Had a better time in an earlier run)
330: 7.246
1/8: 10.862
miles per hour: 67.56
1000: 14.024
/4: 16.607
miles per hour: 88.27

Car seems to be starving for fuel. I already have an idea to fix that. Can anyone explain why we were slower this time?
What should the timing be set to on the car when we race? it was changed from 12 to 7.
More pics and a video will be posted later.

Your biggest problem from your times posted is your 60'. 2.56 is tough to make up for at the other end. Are you spinning? is it bogging? how hard is your launch? We need to get you out of the hole better. Just a half second in the first 60' makes a HUGE difference at the big end.

Auto trans right? are you powerbreaking at the tree? Do you know what RPM it is leaving at?

I'm fat and that weight slows me down, I met you and I know you have no weight issues. Car looks great too!

Well, the tires did not seem to spin.
The car seemed to bog down.
Left at around 1500 rpm.
It is a 4-speed.
Haha, I still weigh 165, but my Dad drove it yesterday.
Thanks, the car photographs well

Try a launch @ 2000 rpm's...if it still seems 'lazy' try 2500... you want the point right before the smoke show will start...

Your stock fuel pump should be fine.

With that much vacuum I guest the motor is all stock right? What gear is in the rear? What rpm are you shifting at? And last, what do you have for rear tires?

3.54 rear end
shifting at 5500, although it didnt make it there on the 15th
rear tires are 235 70R/15

That kinked fuel line must have been your problem.Your setup seems fine, but a bigger tire would help (mt drag radials are great!) For the timing look at 35-38 total advance, all in by 3000 rpm. Great looking car by the way!
