Feeling out the tranny and engine
i finally got my carb installed its a holly 750cfm and have a 440 witha 727 transmission
i havnt adjusted my carb yet its not too bad out of the box
i did notice when i let off the gas it feels like my foot is still on and comming off slowly
im thinking:
1. im not in the right gear -i dont know the shifting order on the steering colum the last three all feel the same i have n driven it that much
and i think i have a half quart or more too much tran fluid in.. my reverse take a second to engage
feels like top to bottom:
park
nuetral
reverse
something
something
somthing
or # 2 my carb linkage need adjusting
im not familiar any suggestins to figure it out

timing will make it feel like it is pushing it's self down the road, and not slowing down when you lift you foot off of the petal, your gear selector may need miner adjustment, but the more you drive the car you will get the feel for the way it handles

perhaps the clutchbands are adjusted too much or too little.
the 727's have an adjustment screw on them and if you get someone before you who adjusted them wrong you can end up with some real funky results. such as all forward gears and such
