Fuel and fluids required for 1968 Imperial?

All,

I (may) be in the market for an Imperial soon (1967-1968 model) and was wondering what type of gas it can take in modern times with the original engine? Also how much lead boost would I have to use for every fill-up of high octane gas?

Additionally, what type of 10W-30 oil works best? As for transmission, brake, power steering and other fluids which ones do I use? Thanks for answering all of my questions!

I like 15W40 Engine Oil / F-Type unless it has been re-Built Then you can use newer stuff / Std Power Steering Fluid is fine / Dot 3 for the brake system is fine /

I would agree with that... Castrol GTX Ultra Clean is good stuff.... We use that in Most of our Fleet Applications... Regular oil changes and have not had an engine failure in 20+ years.. I also use Delo, Chevron, as well as Havoline , Mobil One, But I'm not going to make this a selling point... My go to is Castrol..
