gas guage not working and location of neutral safety switch

I have a 1973 charger and its got new gauges by equuos (Canadian tire brand) brand new tank and sending unit was installed by previous owner and I hook it up and it shows 3/4 and did not drop after driving it goes up slowly after starting car and I tried a G.m match Equoos guage because the electrical guy at shop did Ohm readings and said my other guage registered backward and maybe somebody installed a g m sending unit but I talked to last owner he said no. I am not sure whats going on but need to know if maybe I need a resistor or something ( I don t do electrical well)...

My second question is I have no idea what happened to the neutral safety switch , I can not see anything around the shifter under the console (no wires) I read somewhere it should be a brown wire or 3 wire plug but can not locate it) Is it somewhere under on the 727 transmission. and where and how does it run?? thanks in advance for any help .

On the fuel gauge... You have 2 choices.... Sounds like you might have gotten the wrong gauge for the sender your using? Take the sending unit out measure the ohms and then buy the rite gauge to match. Or buy a new tank sending unit and then buy a gauge to match...

The switch your looking for is down by the shift linkage on the transmission..
And yes it is a 3 pin.... You can find the wiring you meed over in the tools and Ref. over on "MYMOPAR.COM" if you dont have the wiring info.
