HOW DO I TELL ROCKER ARM RATIO

Hi all,

I have a318 with stock heads and the stock stamp steel rocker arms. I also have a set of adjustable stock rocker arms from a 273 . In both my manuals I cant find anything that says what the rocker arm ratio is.

1. Can I swap the stamped for the adjustable rocker arms out (Knowing I will need to measure and have pushrods made)

2. Does anyone know if the 273 stock rockers are the same ratio as later model stamped steel .

I know that the rocker arms and shaft fit just dont want to buy cutstom pushrods to have them not work.

They are both 1.5, the deciding factor is the adjuster on the rocker. Cups and ***** have to correspond, and you can get differnent adjusters if you want. ***** on the rocker with cups on the pushrod lessen possibility of cracking. I would suggest getting new rods, most suppliers will lend an adjustable to measure accurately.
