Question I need a better reverse light!

OK, I'm sure I'm not the only one to run into this problem: It's late coming home and you have to reverse into your parking spot. The trouble is not backing up, you can do that fine. The problem is your puny little OEM reverse lights put out almost enough light to read braille. My driveway is the sort where I have to back my truck in and at night and especially in bad weather I can barely see. I need to upgrade my reverse lights but I don't know how without doing something crazy like wiring up some fog lights to the rear bumper. This would work but would also look like hell. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to improve the reverse lights?

Looks vs. function Polaradude? Function comes first but I don't want something that looks too ridiculous. What did you have in mind?

Friends of mine have a single black rubber housing light mounted on the top of the rear bumper clear of an open tail gate. I think it's from a tractor supply type place and it's roughly 5" in diameter and it works, just wired into the existing reverse circuit.

What about getting both function and coolness?

I plan on installing a set of these on a project that I am working on for night wheeling.

If you look close enough and can find them, some of the old fog lights used a 50W bulb that had the same base as the 1156 the back up lights use. If you can find them, you can stick them right in place and instantly have about 3-4 times as much light as normal with no changes. Just don't leave them on too long a time, that's a load for the original wiring and maybe the fuse. I have used them in the past with no problems, but that was years ago.
