does anyone no what this intake manifold is from the numbers stamped on it are 2806301 then under it 4x25. i think it might be for a 440 or 383 but im not sure.

thanks i found it in my dads basement and he wasnt sure what he took it off of. it will also fit on a 440 to wont it?

440 is a rb block
440 is taller, therefore it has a wider angle for the intake manifold to take up

I was always under the understanding that the same manifold would fit both but i guess not.

 

440 manifolds are wider than a 383/400 manifold. because the decks are about 1/4 inch higher, it makes the distance between the head facing surfaces farther, and causes the intakes to be wider. You can get a couple of spacer plates and use it on a 440, but that's pretty well a waste of time
