Question Loss of power to the road

My motor was dynoed at 453hp. Now that it is installed the motor revs fast in park. When in gear had you give it a mash of the gas no real power increase. This is hooked up to a 727 with the stock torque converter out of the slant 6. I have a new tci converter do you think this will help?????

Isn't a 3.91 step for a street car I drive on the highway to a lot of shows. Only running on 26" tall tires

I just got a 3500 stall from tci they suggested that with my tire and rear end. It acts as if there is no kick down cable . Is there anything else I should look for?

Ok...Street Car... Now I'm with y'all...
Thats a bad deal...If it dose not have the detent linkage,,, it will burn up the trans, Unless the car has a Manuel valve body in it.

ok...So when you drive it... Were dose it shift at?
1-2nd gear should hold to about 25 mph (Normal Throttle) and then your 3rd gear shift should be around 35-40mph

No Problem on the info.... Your welcome...

Try making the detent tighter... lengthen the rod about 1/4 longer And go drive it. See if that helps...

It could be something other than the engine/trans/reared. Could be sticking brakes or a frozen bearing or u-joint, I'd put it up on jack stands and check that everything rotates freely. I also remember reading that a 6 cyl torque converter behind a healthy 8 acts like a high stall to begin with, I think it was a low buck racers trick.
