Arrow Please chime in! What ATF are you using in your 727?

Trying to decide if a poll would be easier but decided some people might swear by a certain brand too. There are threads like this all over, but rather than debate what's best, what are YOU running, have you run, or recommend.

Leaning towards Type F since it was mentioned to me in a thread. Mobile One I guess? I don't know. I am not planning on draining just topping it off with the new trans cooler install I did today. Not sure what's in it, not sure if it matters to mix in a pint of something else. Whatever is in there is nice and clean, that's all I know.

That's why I ask, seems to be two schools of thought, one leans to Type F, the other for Dex III.

Seems a lot of people run Type F, claim improved shifts.

I read on the back of the "type F" bottles that it is for F*$d only. I have always used Dextron III or B&M Trick Shift.

Ill put it a vote for Type F. My scout seems to shift and run smoother than it did on Dextron III, and it smells like the dragstrip. If only i could afford to run racing fuel.

I bought Dex III/Merc today, just because the previous owner said that's all he's used.

My dip stick says Dextron Fluid only. Says nothing about "II" or "III"
And by the looks of it I would say it's the original stick.
