problem with shift selctor

i have an o6 dodge durango with a hemi. Was not having any problems with the trany, them started throwing different codes that led me to believe that i needed to change out the solinoid pack. Now have no reverse, and neutral is drive. Even scanned with a snap-on scanner and no new codes were given, but my gear positions were all messed up on the tranny side. Our tranny is a 545rfe, one of the best dodge made.......so i have a hard time believing that the tranny has gone bad. There is no big pieces in the pan and the color of the fluid was bright red(old fluid). all filters that were changed were factory filters. Please help, for it has been in my driveway for 2 months.

p.s. i also changed out the emc-tcm and the govenor pressure switch just in case.........

i had a 518 trany problem it would not shift correctly this was a surprise it was a freash rebuild 6 -8 months
so when i drop the pan and removed the valve body 2 things
1 the over drive accumulator piston "made of nylon had broken the end off of it"
2 the o-d and loc-up servos have micro fine screens that became clogged with probably left over dirt in the system after the rebuild i should have run a factory filter for a few but i ran a brass filter it couldn't gt that really fine dirt out of the system
the dealer had these parts in stock and the parts guy said it was a common thing who knows probably why they stock em
after re-installing the new parts haven't had a issue its been years now GOOD TRANY
ps i removed the screens from the servo body parts guy sad the weren't necessary
as long as i maintained the main filter
hope this helps maybe point you in the right direction
