In my 65 Chrysler I mounted my Sony in the glove box and it had a remote that mounted on my steering wheel.

Of course I had to have the glove box door open. to use it, but it was the best setup I could think of.

For my 52 I will be building a custom fiberglass console to mount on the hump. I was considering under dash but my new ac unit will take up a lot of room.

Building your own fiberglass console is really pretty simple.

If people are interested I can work on putting together a guide on how to do it in a weekend.

Actually here is a great thread. Personally I would have covered it in vinyl.

As you are laying the vinyl you can heat it with a heat gun and it conforms really nicely to the curves.

If you need any more info about doing it, let me know.

I haven't gotten one yet, still waiting for everything else to be done but found a stereo installation place that says it can build an installation kit that leaves the Dash original so if you ever want to you can reinstall the original radio, think they said its $220.00 installed the one I want with Bluetooth and headphone Jack.

I'm with you on this one, the only music I need to hear is the sound of that big 440 purring under the hood and the wind rushing by my very non aerodynamically designed fuselage!!! Whooooosh!!!
