What do you think of these dyno results?
Hi moparpeople,
Here are the dyno results of my new 440. Stock engine, not stroked, just performance parts. Curious what you think of these results. Keep in mind that the engine i was driving around with had a max of 'just' 190hp due to it's age. I can't imagine what the difference will feel like and what to expect.
Regards,
Rix

Looks like a good performing motor.
At what rpm does the HP drops off......
I notice that it's still climbing at the top end of the run.
If that's your rpm limit, maybe you have a little too much cam for those heads................

the 440 is stock, so are the heads (steel). if the torque is not suficient for some respectable streetperformance i could add some B1 heads later.
the headers are stainless hookers. the carb a holley street avenger 670cfm. i'll add the other parts later cause someone else has built it for me. but one thing is sure: he did some magic with building this engine without using a stroker kit, blower or nos.

That is a good amount of torque that the motor is producing. What are the plans for the motors? It would be curious as to what your max HP is and at what RPM. I'm sure that motor can rev higher than 6200 RPM, although it does look like it is close to where the HP would drop off.

that looks really good . it's making very good torque & hp . the hp hasn't even started dropping off yet @ 6200 rpm . & with stock heads i don't think you could expect much more . I'm sure there's more in it also . head work or a set of aftermarket alloy heads would make a huge difference . i like that 484 lift mopar cam as a street cam . well mate enjoy that 440 it's right on the money . where abouts are you ???? ole morrigan is looking for somebody to do her 413 & i think the bloke that done yours did a wicked job . I'm quite surprised by that hp with stock heads , hell he can build a engine for me any time thats a really good combo .
i'm guessing it would have had larger valves & port work to make that power . but i'd like 2 see the spec's .
are you using stock rocker arms ?
& what fuel ??

no further plans with my new engine: i'm just gonna drive with it. the builder told me that an extra 100-150hp can be added with B1 heads (aluminum) and a other cam in the future. that would get this engine up to a max of 700-725hp. but i guess this setup will be enough for the coming years. let me remind you that i'm used too +/- 200 hp with my 'old' 383 and that i'm driving this car as a hobby. no strip action.

hehehe
mate you not gonna get hurt going in a straight line . more chance on the street than at a track . you should take it for a few runs down the 1/4 mile so you know & we know what it dose . it just helps pool information for all us mopars guy's & girls . great to see more world wide mopars .
