I have a 1991 new yorker and I am replacing the steering rack transfer lines. (The ones that run from one side of the rack to the other). I need to make new lines and the flare that this seems to use looks like a bubble flare that got flattened, or an incomplete inverted flare. Does anyone know if it's supposed to be a bubble flare? All the fitting ends and flares look the same.
Looking at power steering hoses on rockauto it looks like they use an oring. Maybe the fitting you have pictured is a damaged one with the tip broke off that holds the oring? Maybe check the rack for the oring and short tube piece?
edit: never mind missed the part about all the fittings being the same
