From a stop or from a roll?

I'd start with tims suggestion, cause its easy and cheap, like me! My suggestion, if its from a roll only, is that you accelerator pump shot may need a longer duration.

dont know if they are still around, look up pro-dyno, they had a shop in tempe a few years ago. they will tune your motor to its peak, and dyno it. carburetors can be finnicky, big difference especially when you are coming from a fuel injected computer controlled car

you'll need a timing light to do the timing

if it still has points, you might want to invest in a mopar performance electronic distributor setup

Do you have headers?

Does it stall if it sits for awhile, or after sitting for awhile running and you hit the gas it stall?

Has it ever stalled?

I had a problem with vapor lock as my fuel line ran over the headers before the carb. When hot the car would sputter when I would hit the gas, bog down when driving, or stall when it was hot and I let it sit running. Just a thought.

Is the fuel line so hot to the touch it burns? I rerouted the line and I have no issues mentioned above.
