318 belt length
How long should the belt be for the power steering pump and fan? How long should the other one be for the ac and alternator?

so many variable here
I use my wifes fabric tape measure from her sewing kit. she hates this.
or wrap a piece a non-stretch twine, mark it and measure it.

When replacing the belts can they be too tight? How to judge whether or not there's enough tension on the belt?

But tight will work also.... about an 1/8" up and down movement should be rite.
