360 Specs/Clearances Info

Putting my 74 360 together got all my freeze plugs in and oil galley plugs except the one under the rear main cap as my kit did't come with it (not happy)
So the oil galley plugs are

2 in front behind cam plate
1 under oil filter plate
1 inside near dist bushing
3 in rear
1 under #5 main cap

Also does anyone know the factory specs for oil clearance for Mains & Rods?
Getting plastigage tomorrow to check.

Just an FYI... Plastic gauge, In my opinion SUCK's... Your way better off using a measuring Micrometer...

Mike.... Sounds like you getting ready to get the short block screwed together?
Double check and make sure you got all the holes plugged...
What Piston Rings are you going to run?

This one!

The oil filter bypass plug. Directs the oil to the filter.

Run a wire down oil pressure sender hole. If it stops, the plug is in. Very few shops knock it out.

I've must of been tired last night I looked again and in fact it is still in there like you said I used a zip tie in the oil psi hole and measured at 7 1/2" so it's in.

On another note my cam retainer plate never had 1 of the bolts drilled for oil to leak from the lifter valley to the timing chain. I got a spare bolt I should be able to just drill say a 3/32 hole and be good?

Somewhere along the line, Chrysler stopped drilling the bolt. I have always drilled/made one. Be careful tightening it and use some thread locker.
