440 HP block

Recently scored a 1970 HP 440 block. Am thinking of building a 500 stroker motor using the complete rotating assembly from 440 source, along with the stealth aluminum heads. Anyone been down this road? wondering if its a good idea or bad, also looking for what cam, intake and carb combinations would work well with this setup.Any advice would be much appreciated. Would be going in a 1970 roadrunner with a 727 auto, with a 3:55 8 3/4 suregrip.

probably built 24 of them so far , the combo works very well , I use the 512 kit with the longer 7.1" con rods , it removes 7 lbs from the rotating mass & makes a ton of torque with a good cam choice one dynoed with 398 HP & 460 ft lbs measured at the tires after all drivetrain losses on a Mustang dyno which is the lowest reading dyno , it had over 400 ft lbs from 2200 - 5300 RPM , Stealth or better yet Super Stealth heads will work great for a lower RPM street torque build with some port work , you want to aim for 11:1 compression or higher , use only Cometic head gaskets between the dis-similar metals as they will not tear & fail . Generally I have used the Holley Street Dom intake with a lot of port matching & blending & opening up in the plenum as it has great hood clearance for a tall air cleaner , usually 3.5" or better with a unmodified hood .
My rule of thumb is 2x the CI on carb size so I generally use the Proform 950 race series , these are very tunabl;e & reasonably priced , mancini has some of the best pricing .
Cam is the most critical part to select , I generally use Lunati Flat tappet solids custom ground with Mopar only lobe designs making use of the wider lifter , I can help with a specific grind if needed but I need more info about wat type of cam you want to run & exactly what other parts you will use so it all matches .
