Timing set to 10* BTDC Runs Great until I shut it down and let it sit about 5-10 minutes then it won't fire until is sit another 30mins.

What do you thik might cause this?

Vapor lock, are the fuel lines routed anywhere near a heat source?

Vapor Lock

Funny you should say that. I've noticed that the upper will have a pocket of air in it occassionally.
The main line from the pump to the carb is very close to the block and exhaust manafold.
How far awy does it need to be?

Not an expert by far, but

From reading through other forums. I found some comments on timing and if it was not right your ignition spark could be affected after the engine gets hot. You might try there. I would think you would want to advance the timing closer to TDC, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else has some better advice.

Befor Top Dead Center, BTDC is advanced.
Retard would make it closer to TDC.
Retard more and you get After top dead center. ATDC
Timing can indeed cause this if it is advanced too far it will try to start but kick back from flame front hitting the piston as it tries to come up against it.
10* btdc is about right.
By the way he fixed it read up a few posts. It was the fuel line getting hot.
