66 Charger power steering question.

My power steering pump is bad. leaks, metal filings and no power steering at low r.p.m. It is a federal style on a 66 B-body with a 383 auto. I bought a replacement from classic industries and the pump would not fit into my reservoir, It was slightly larger. I hate to buy the pump with reservoir as its very expensive. How do I find the right pump without the reservoir? Also can I flush the steering box before installing the new pump? Thanks, Kitzy

I may have one will have to check the garage. From a 67 Coronet 318 so you would need to change the brackets. Also there is a great mod to shim the pump pressure for better feel
