Basic Dodge Emergency Kit?

Basic Dodge Emergency Kit?
I am thinking it would be better to have them and not need them kit,, as opposed to being out in the boonies and needing them desperately and having them days and hundreds of miles away.
Ignition module, which one to buy for the 1978 318? Anything else liable to dump on me at the worst possible time that goes along with that and is there a difference between them?
ATF fluid,, should I "assume" it is a 727 behind the 318 in a 3/4T van and is Mercon or Dexron right?
Basics easily carried and often overlooked?

Radiator hoses
Coolant
motor oil
Dextron III ATF (I think that is what it is)
JB Weld
fuel filters
random rubber hose
u-joint or two for the driveshaft
tool kit
diff fluid
wiring
ignition module (not sure if they had them in 78 - If it is the orange box on the right have side of the picture just under the fuse box wiring, then you can get those just about anywhere. All the small block modules like that are the same)

Tim made up a pretty good list! I would also add brake fluid. They did use electronic ignition in '78, get a ignition module and the pick-up coil. You can get those at any parts store.
The best is a cell phone and AAA!!

Most of the items you are talking about are readily available at any parts house.
Good maintenance goes a long way to prevent breakdowns When I had my 79 Van I made it a habit to replace the belts and hoses every 2-3 years. I would just take a small selection of tools.
If you have not done so, I would replace the rubber fuel lines that connect the lines to the tank..

Ballast resistor(s) if you ignition system uses them.
Hose clamps. wire ties, etc.
If you are going to try to filed repair anything under the car, make sure you can safely get "under the car".
Also, I wouldn't think about fixing anything and everything on the road, just enough to get me home.
