best way to clean oil pan gasket debris from motor

I pulled the oil pan to swap it out for a center sump version to fit in my car and like an idiot I used a wire wheel on my drill to get the gasket off- off course a ton of the little pices and some big chunks an inch or bigger got in the motor - I got as much as I could find out and put the new oil pan on, but before I fire it up I'm thinking i should pull the pan off maybe turn it upside down on the engine stand and full it with gas and then dump it over to wash out anything left- or maybe just use motor oil dumped in the valves to let it wash down and into the pan then just change the oil? Any help is appreciated thank you

If it is still on the engine stand, I would clean up what you can see and then use compressed air to blow out as much as possible. Turn it upside down, rotate it up right and blow the bottom so pieces will fall out. Once you get it back in the car,I would change the oil after an hour or so to get rid of what may have been missed.
Good luck.
