big block heads
big block head issue
i am a new member glad to be here.I had to sell my mopar 18 yrs ago to do the family thing and raise my kid. With that said im back im building another car.I bought a 440 it was all new thought i checked it out good but i only pulled one valve cover when i got it home i pulled the other valve cover to discover it had two different castings on the heads.one is a 346 and the other the dreaded 213 motor home. They have had alot of work on them, milled .060,good springs, fresh valve job ect.I ended up selling the short block because of the external balance problems you can have that i had forgot about.I kept the heads and want to use them on 69 440.What would you do will it matter that they are different.

If there the same cc's and the same port/runner size.... You are ok to run.....
As far as I know... There almost the same head? Unless the 213 has a bigger water passage or volume?
What bad did you hear????
