Whats it going in? Tranny, gear, ac, power brakes, weight, tire size etc..?
Exhaust?
And most importantly, how will you use it the majority of the time?

Cool. Sounds like nice cruiser.

Here is my ten cents:

Making some assumptions;

stock stall, higher rear gears, 26-27 inch tire, exhaust manifold etc..

You have the 600 carb and the Eddie intake so you want your cam to work WITH what you have.

Comps 252H lists as a replacement cam but I actually like the way it works in stock apps.

Look at Comps XE250H if you are running exhaust manifolds. XE256H if you have a header on there. Both will have all their torque in by 3000-3300 rpm. Headers will stretch that peak up some.

Good info from PK1, the 256 is the tipping point for this 318 combination where HP will increase but torque will drop dramatically as you go bigger.
XE 256 H = 301hp 365tq

XE 262 H = 305hp 362tq

At this point HP increases slightly, torque will drop like a stone.

Get the proper flat or roller lifters for your engine.

I put this cam in my truck with their recommended springs, retainers and locks. Purrs like a kitten (kitty with a bit of an attitude) and loads of low end grunt.
