I do not know a whole lot about the supercharger anatomy but can a stock 440 with a camshaft powered supercharger above the carb handle 4 psi? I know there is probably different size superchargers(I am guessing this because I know a lot about turbochargers).

 

Depending on the CR, but with 4psi I will say yes... If you are into turbo's then I would turbo instead of supercharging, as you know the advatages of turbo's over engine driven superchargers of any kind, that and the low amount of boost you are wanting to use... M2C...
