Fan Clutch
Fan Clutch
I was told that when the car is hot, and you turn it off, a way to check the status of the fan clutch is to spin it by hand. A properly working fan clutch on a 440 should barely spin by itself.
Is this right? If not, what is a proper way of testing the fan clutch?
Thanks

This is what I found:
If you can't spin it by hand when the engine is off then you need a new clutch
If you can spin it by hand with the engine off and it spins for a long time then it is also bad
If you spin it and it spins for 1 or 2 revolutions then it is ok
