Question Fuel Sending unit?

Anyone possibly know where to locate a sending unit for my 1977 Dodge D150 short box, mid mount tank, on the frame? Seem to be having a heck of a time finding one,was kinda surprised it was an issue to try to get one. New, or used in good condition would work, not real picky, just trying to get this truck on the road..... Thanks in advance.

Ok , so how about I rephrase this question..... Can anyone tell me what years and models will interchange with my 1977 Dodge D150 shortbox, frame, mid mount tank sending unit. If I have this information it will be much easier to locate a unit. Several local yards have a sender, but none seem to have the same info about the interchange. Thanks again all!

74-80 Dodge truck fuel sending unit #4240277

Im withdrawing the question as I have located a part number for the correct part from the factory, The number I have come up with is

MOPAR PART # 4240277

74-80 fuel sender for tanks mounted on the frame, mid body of the truck.

They are available NOS, or various other outlets, run about 100-175$ depanding on where you can find them, Hope this helps others out as well.

In order to fix your guage problem, you have to take the old sender apart and remove the resister, it slides out of the plastic float mechanism and cut the wire. Install it on the new sender and solder or use a solderless terminal to connect the wire. had the same problem, the new senders dont come with the right resister. This drove me nuts for weeks !
