Header recommendations for 360 in A body

Hi all,

I bought a 72 Plymouth Scamp about 4 months ago that had been customized prior to me. Originally it had a 318 and was automatic, and now is 4 speed and has a 360 (which is now freshly rebuilt). The headers that came off were in bad shape having been beaten into submission. I bought a set of Doug's as I had seen many people talk about the fit, but they also will require a LOT of denting to get in place. Since they are ceramic, I'm going to send them back and I am asking to see if anyone has a better recommendation.

Has anyone found a better alternative?

Were they specific to YOU car and a 4sp? If not I don't doubt they would need a lot of massage. Order something specific to your installation and you should have better luck. The Z bar is the area that has to fit a manual rather than an auto. Small block and a 4 sp was offered I believe, so they should be available.

Thank you for the assistance gentlemen. After a lot of reading and understanding what else will need to be customized, I ended up with the Hedman 78050's which should fit.
