Installing Rockers

OK I am reassembling my engine. A 1996 Magnum 5.2L
I have torque specs for everything, but nothing says how tight the rockers assemblies should be? Do those get torqued down ro do I just make sure they are tight?

Thank you!

Exhaust Opening Intake Closing.

You need to tighten the rocker bolt when the cam is on its base circle. Meaning no lift is being applied to the valve train. If you do not the spring will interfere with a true reading as the rocker "could" be activated.

Search the forum or net for EOIC. I think it was written up by Coronet500 or 440 Roadrunner in detail once. Same procedure regardless of make. Pretty sure its on here.

EOIC is the simplest thing in the world and works on any engine from a Briggs to a P&W radial

You rotate the engine until...........

The EXHAUST just starts to OPEN and then adjust the intake on that cylinder

rotate until..........

The INTAKE opens and is nearly CLOSED and adjust the exhaust on that cylinder.

Mopar also has a chart, if you have the balancer marked every 90*:
