Intake Manifold Question

Im looking at a edelbrock 2176 intake on ebay but it has, what looks like white thread tape on all the square bolts for vacuum ports ect. Is that definitely a sign of leakage. Common sense tells me it is, but I am a nubie.

Thanks

I'm guessing by "square bolts" you mean square headed plugs. Yes, using a sealant on them is not a bad idea. Don't overtighten them.

Some type of sealant is common (and necessary) practice. The guys who know what they are doing, just know how not to let it show ...
