Intake question

Intake question

I have a eldelbrock 318 intake but im going to be running 360 J heads...would this intake work or do i need to get a new one? Thanks

It will work but just like me you we have a huge intake runner mismatch. The 360 heads have larger intake runners than does the intake manifold.

Ok thanks..and what gasket would i buy? a 318 or a 360 or does it matter?

Does Edlebrock make two different intakes for the SB Mopar motors? I thought they fit all LA motors?

I have no idea..First mopar build here.. but my intake says Edelbrock 318 on it so i figured its specifically for the 318

YES! Magnum and LA motor.

Dimensionally the same but Magnums have a vertical bolt instead of the traditional angled LA bolt.

Magnum intake was designed to seal better. Only reason for the change in valve cover bolt number and intake bolts.

I know there was a difference between the LA and Magnum motors. I was wondering if there was a different intake for the 318LA and 360LA that Edelbrock made?

When you step up the Edddy RPM Performer intake the runner sizes match a 340 or 360 runner. The problem he has is he is running the Performer intake with 360 heads. The Performer intake has the small 318 size runners.
