Sooooo, I have a 1976 Dodbe D200 Truck. I acquired the truck in a trade. the truck has a hesitation on low rpm other than that it runs great. New fuel, timing is correct, carb has been adjusted, grounds are good. Have adjusted the excelerator pump many times and many positions, no change. Truck has a knock off mid rise manifold have no clue who the manufacturer is. Also have knock off Edlebrock 1406 made bye Geluoxi.. Very nice amazon piece LOL. The distributor is also avery nice knock off, this one is also a nice amazon piece, MAS Performance HEI Distributor Replacement for Mopar. I have to feather the pedal off of lights and it wants to hesitate on transmission shifts or when im cruising down the road at low RPM and give a healthy dose of fuel. The fuel filter also looks like it is about ready to explode after the 20 minute drives. I really dont want to throw a lot of money at the truck. Im going to sell it as soon as I get it running correctly.
Total timing should be upwards of 32-34 degrees @ 2500 rpms. You have the accelerator pump set at max flow on the bottom hole which is best for heavy accelerations. Those accelerator pumps go bad quite easily from the ethanol
fuel. Look down the carb and give it a slow throttle push and see if the pump shoots out a steady flow of fuel. I bought an accelerator pump recently, installed it and ran great. It didn't take long for it to act up again due to the ethanol gas. Here's a good site to buy a pump for your carb. Carburetor AFB 4-barrel Accelerator Pumps (carburetor-parts.com) Good luck!!
