To mill or not to mill

Ive got a 77 440 and the pistons sit about .0160 in the hole. Should I Have my heads milled to slightly increase compression or leave it as is and get different pistons later on? Just looking for some opinions

You can do it either way. Changing the pistons is best !! Won't gain a lot by milling the heads maybe 1/2 point for .050 Then you have to cut the intake side too !!!

It's best to do the short block rite....

The other way gose something like
V
V

You Have to Deck the block something like .102
then take like .100 off the heads
.197 off the intake to make it fit
OR something like that....
Then once you wear the Motor out. You just toss it in the scrap bin.....
