Exclamation MOPAR OIL-CAN'T LOCATE IT-PLEASE HELP

I am new to this and don't really know how to get around this site. Recently bought a Challenger SRT8 and want to stay with MOPAR synthetic oil but don't know where to buy it. Does anyone out there know where I can find it? thanks- almond77@gmail.com

You can use other oils. Castrol synthetic, Mobile one and others.. JUST used the correct grade of oil 10/30 or what your vehicle calls for. I remember once Getting some parts for my sisters Olds. As a I had earlier bought a gallon of Prestone dexcool at auto zone for like $12 Some idiot was buying the same gallon of prestone dexcool for $20

For a long time, Mopar Synthetic Oil was rebadged Mobil 1. In 2010, I believe they switched to Penzoil...not sure on that one though... The filters have been Purolator, but may now be a Wix filter. In other words, Mopar doesn't make their own oil, they are contracted with other companies.

Just as an FYI, Zerex G05 is the Hoat antifreeze (5 year 150,000 mile) that Chrysler uses and sells under the Mopar name.... they just dye it red/orange for Mopar. Zerex is dyed a yellow color but identical formula. Do not mix in other types (green, Dexcool, etc.) thinking it is ok, it will turn into a clay mixture! I have a trashed radiator and heater coil to prove it (quick oil change places topped off my system with the wrong stuff!)

I work at Chrysler. And last time I checked, we didn't have our own refinery. Same with Harley-Davidson. Just use the latest SAE rated oil. Mobil 1 or Valvoline would be fine. As far as trans fluid, Wally-Mart carries the "Super-Tech" brand for almost half of the name-brand prices. It carries the same SAE rating.

I have my oil changes done at the dealership, because with one exception I've always gotten it done for about $20. I'm not sure about this last time, but for the past year or more they've been using Mobil 1; it was printed right on the oil change sticker.
