motor is burning oil

hey guys ive noticed that my motor is burning a little oil.
but i only smell the oil burning upon heavy acceleration.
brand new top end, im thinking the rings are just worn allowing blow by???

What was the condition of the motor before doing the top end ?? How many miles on the motor ? Best thing to do is a leak down test to determine the condition of the rings before tearing it apart..
