HELP burning engine oil.

Hey everybody lately I have been thing of rebuild my free 360 magnum. I started wondering why the engine keeps burning engine oil. The store is ever since we had the truck it has been burn oil and started to run bad so we replaced the engine. After pulling the engine apart we found out that it had dropped a exhaust valve. I was thing it might be the valve guide seal. Let me know what you guys thing. Thanks in advance everyone.

Thanks
Austin

Cylinder heads on the Magnum motors are notorious for needing to be rebuilt every 80,000-100,000 miles. Any time a truck came into the shop with a burning oil concern, 9 times out of 10 it turned out to the valves/seals.

Head gaskets. I think (and this is taking a lot ) I remember one came in with blow-by around the piston rings. That is out of hundreds, maybe thousands, of trucks.

Magnum engines are more notorious for the plenum gasket leaking, than anything........... Makes them run like doo too.
