Need help carb issue
Need help carb issue
Hey guys I’m new to mopar I have a 68 Chrysler Newport with a 440 it has been worked and has 2 4 barrel Edelbrock 650 on it I can’t get it to idle when I’m driving it’s fine. It when I try and let it idle just stalls I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Would bad gas do that it runs on a mix of cam2 and 93 I just got it this week any help please.

No where near enough info. Anything from timing, vac leak or bad pump to a bad adjustment.
Since your in Port Jeff, go to http://www.longislandmopars.com/ and check out the next club meet (will be after the Chryslers at Carlise event), one of us can give you a hand. If you need a mechanic, John at JCS in W Babylon is the guy.
FYI - 2 650s on a 440 ain't the most efficient set up, and unless you have a lot of compression 93+Cam2 isn't necessary, but like I said, not enough info.

Again, we don't know what cam is in there, or anything else. 1100 rpm, without a radical cam means a vacuum leak.
5 psi doesn't require an electric pump, and may just be one more thing to worry about.
Call John at JCS Monday and have him look at it.
