Paddle shifter pause

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and I was hoping to get some help with an issue I've seen with my Challenger. I normally drive in paddle shift mode. I find that when I got to WOT going through the gears, the transmission doesn't engage right away. It pauses, then it gets in gear and continues. I'll try to record it and post it to this forum in the future. Can anyone give me an explanation about what's going on with it? Am I doing damage to it??

Sounds like a factory override but I can’t tell you what the issue is, maybe it’s not in the correct mode, drag, sport or something like that.

Could it be the PCM? I'll try it again. Maybe I wasn't in "sport" mode when I did it.

Hook up a scan tool and look and see if when you command the paddle to shift that it is commanding the Transmission to shift?
You may have to install a set of gauges to see if the transmission itself it getting pressure to the ports with in the transmission...
Hope that makes sense.
