Replacing the timing chain

Hi there,

I'm planning to replace the timing chain on my '72 225cui slant six. This might be a stupid question, but when installing the new chain, does it need to be oiled or can it be installed dry as it is.

regards. Willem

Does it matter which type of oil you use?

Soak the chain in oil. Never put it on dry.
