Slant flushing

Hello!

Soon I want to change the oil and filter of the slant six engine of my car. Is it advisable to add a flush? Given that the car is relatively much used for shorter distances?

Thanks

Agree with Bob. On older engines, flushing can do more harm than good.
Some of that crud might be stopping a few leaks.
