i am going to be building a new small block this winter and was thinking of doing a twin or single turbo setup, does anyone have any experience with fast 2.0 or boosted setups? just wanted the mopar gurus 2 cents... thanks.

 

i know nothing about turbos. but i do know this. the oil drain should dump in to the pan well above the oil level. and it is gravity fed so the hose / tube needs to be big..

You need to decide what you expect, what you want. If you just want a simple turbo for a bit of boost, there's several guys that have done that in much the same way. One guy is named "Ward" and there's another both on FABO and at the turbo forum that had done the same thing

What you do, is use late Dakota / Ram manifolds turned around facing front. You make a crossover pipe going down in front of the engine, and mount the turbo in the pass front corner. The single big exhaust goes up over, and down in the far pass. corner. This is a good way to keep it simple.

Lots of guys have gone TT with these.

Now, I cannot do this man justice. But to "touch around the edges" you are looking at an early Desoto with LOTS of hand made parts. He made a new timing cover, partly so he can use a later more available water pump. He modified the injector setup to use electronic injection. Had made all the plumbing for the turbos and fuel.. I'm sure there's a BUNCH of "little details"

IF you are thinking about 1,000 hp twin turbo I would suggest an R3/R4 block as your foundation
