Spun bearing

hi i have a 360 which has just spun 3&4 conrod bearings the crank has been ground .020" on mains and rods already and im trying to find out if i can just get the crank and conrods reground or do i needs to get new cranksahft and conrods.

You can do a 20-30 crank but dont work it two hard or rpm it allot. It will give up the ghost...
Make sure if you go this route that you ask them to check it for cracks before and after Machining....
I do think you will find a crank kit about the same price as the above work needed...

Have you addressed the cause? This is a great excuse to stroke it out if you have the coin by the way.

cheers for that its in my race car so it will be at hi rpm most of the time, can i regrind my con rods or do i need to replace them as well.

it was done before i got the engine but it was caused by the bloke before me not fitting a windge tray or baffled sump

Have your crank shaft grinder find you another crank. They are a dime a dozen There is one that is better I forget what the markings are, but early 70's. Had my shop get me one when I broke the crank in my 360. Make sure you have at least a 7 qt pan. ARP main studs & windage tray. The rods can be re sized subject to machinist inspection. A nice time to add ARP rod bolts too..

cheers i'll keep a look out for a new crank. i might see if my wife will just let me stroke it.

In this case I would not trust the crankshaft. Time to get another one.
Now you just nee to now why the rod spun?

I would agree with the guys at this point. Maybe it is time to look for a upgraded rotating Assembly....
