Supercharger options for 383
Hi all,
We are building a mild 383, and the engine builder has suggested a small blower.
If we were to do it, it would be an under-hood roots type. My question to you guys is, where do i start with finding a company that makes a kit complete with manifold and pulleys? If need be I'll hunt the parts seperate but i prefer a kit.
Any suggestions?
Daniel

i've looked into the vortex for small block la its a blow through type, box kit for around $2500 about 7 psi if i'm remembering correctly, the only thing i didn't like about it was it was mounted on the passenger side of the motor right on top of my A/C

the small Roots type ones are made by Whipple
the Vortec type are centrifugal ,
the most efficient Roots type mounted on top of the engine are the PSI blowers used in Alcohol drag racing
