I have a 499 big block and the other day I was changing spark plugs and had a hell of a time. Also I was looking at some melted wire covering neat the starter. I was inspecting the headers because we may swap to fuel injection. Found a crack in a 2" primary tube that's under the steering column on the way to the box. By the time I remove the torsion bar and steering to get the headers off I may just swap.
So what's your experience 3 1/2 exhaust on the car so I would like to keep the same size headers. Tti seems like the plugs would come out easy and the suspension doesn't need to come apart to swap? I'm also thinking of wrapping this next set because we don't drive in the rain with no wipers. Ha ha

 

TTI is a great product. Much heavier construction than most any other manufacturer. I had mine with the ceramic external and the thermal barrier internal coatings. Read their fitment notes thoroughly. If they say it will fit, it WILL fit.

 

Thanks. Did you run the larger tti and did you need to remove anything to I stall? I do kinda want tti.

 

It's been a while, but I think I removed the starter, drag link, and spark plugs?

 

I use Headman E body 2" slip fit, individual tube headers on my F body, the on/off is great but I changed the collectors.

 

E-Body are sooo much fun to change spark plugs... Even with small tube headers.
But thats just my 2 cents...

 

Hey now we have 4 cents , I would have to agree with you Bob, most any BB header.

 

All I know is my Iron headed motor and my B1 motor were extremely tough on the passenger side to change plugs..lol
I always wanted a tube chassis car with a removable or tilt front end...
