727 Build Up

Trans is in a 68' Satellite which I'm hoping to be pushing 400 at the crank. What are the best improvement that can be done to the 727 trans so that I'm not constantly breaking it. BTW it needs to be rebuilt anyways so figured that I would beef it up a little during rebuild.

Just remember the Throttle pressure linkage that hooks to the carb IS VERY IMPORTANT. Most 4bbl conversions do not get hooked up correctly USE THE CORRECT PARTS and correct throttle arm for your aftermarket carb !!!!!!

I discovered, quite by accident, after buying one on Craigslist, that I just absolutely LOVE all manual valve bodies!!! Jus' thought I'd throw that out there!!! You can "throw one in" easily, and if you don't like it, "throw it back out" in an afternoon. Don't need a kickdown.

Cheetah by Turbo Action makes a full manual valve body in either forward or reverse pattern for about $270 it does not have a kick down linkage also if you down shift it will only hold back in second gear...If you shift back to 1st it free wheels like neutral until the RPM catches up with the trans. speed....Like 440 said it is the best I love it...Bill

I just replaced my B&M manual trans kit with the Turbo Action Cheetah Pro valve body. What A HUGE difference!!!

It's like the transmission woke up! Best valve body!!!
