dana 60 info

Anybody know ring and pinon gear setup in a 1998 ram 2500. i think i read 4:11

Block the front tires, jack up the rear, put the tranny in neutral and spin the rear wheels. Count how many revolutions the tires make relative to the drive shaft.

There are also charts to give you the rear ratio based on rpm and mph.

If it is like my 98 Van The gear ratio will be listed on the info sticker under the hood..

As long as someone hasn't removed the tag, there is usually one between two of the cover bolts.

If you have a 5.9L gas motor, then you will most likely have 4.10 gears. You can always pull the cover and read what is printed on the ring gear. They will say something like 41-10 (if it is a 4.10 gear ratio).
