external trans filter

the old auto zone 2210 magenfine filter is no longer available at auto zone. BUT i did find the same thing as JX-160 brand-- ATP. at a real parts house uses 3/8" tube. ONLY use high pressure hose. SAE J1019 217 psi working. NOT fuel hose for a carb engine.

Filtran still makes them....It is still a part of Affina and the Filteration group... It is just under the Wix red label... You know.... the cheep'o line....Hahahahahahaha

http://www.affiniagroup.com/about-us/brands

And Champion Labs make most of the Mopar filter...

More food for thought..... Purolator comes to mind....

i think they do. i have one on my dak. for only one year so have not seen how it works. ill have my mech save the old filter and cut it open. tomorrow iam taking my dak to get the trans rebuilt. and will have a new external filter installed. so new trans started out with new filter. bet you didnt know chrysler put external filter on the 63-64 new yorker. did you? but dont for get to use high pressure hose. that wix is 5/16 tubing the one i listed is 3/8" tube. i think the mopars are 3/8"

If your putting the external filter on for decoration why not use a Mr.Gasket glass in line fuel filter and you can plumb it so it comes up into the engine compartment and WOW all your friends with the trany fluid gushing through it... ...You can tell them it's the blood line of your ride...Bill

found the P/N 2400124 chrysler. cant find a fram P.N. and the $90. price? i have looked at 600-700- listings and that is the ONLY one i have seen for sale. do note it has a female fitting on one end and a male on the other. to refit would need some work. but could be done.
