Oh Boy.... If that the case..... Then it looks like it might be time to convert over to the G.M. T.H.400 or the Super Glide, Bruno's, B&J.

I did not think you were up in that H.P. range yet? But when you start getting near that 900 foot pounds of torq. (FPOT)... Then things start getting iffy...

I'm not 100% sure this will fix the problem.... But ask SMR if there is a way to get somemore line pressure to the front drum?

Speaking of line pressure, Ask SMR or A&A what the pressure should be and get a reading from the trans port?

If all is well there... Then I would have to agree that the motor is just over powering the trans.....

Hope you had a great time here in the USA.... Looks like you and everyone had a great time.... Sorry I could not meet you at NHRA Pomona.
I Hope John Cope Got your trans problem fixed, and no more burning up clutch's in the trans.
On the front suspension.... It you have a Sway bar in the front??? Disconnect it and let the front end travel natural....
A 1.40 60' should get you in the 9.90's or a little better...
Good Luck....
