Has anyone installed a Mr Gasket conv. Kit to the floor? I have a 72 D100 with a 318/A230 3 speed on the tree and bought a kit to maybe put the shifter on the floor.

 

Years and years ago I put one in my 65 Jeep pickup, it worked ok infact it still hangs in my storage shed. I swapped the Tornado six and three speed for a 440/727.
It should work a long time for you if I remember correctly it has a long throw between gears.

 

That sure brings back memories. I installed those in at least three chevy pickups and a 56 chevy. When the column shifter linkage wore out and would jam up, that was a fast fix. They worked great. Like Iowan said, they do have kind of a long throw.
